I bought these bowls to help my Azul. I did not want him getting whisker burnout from eating. They are sturdy to a point. If you continue to drop them, they will break. They are light weight and easy to use. It helps control the amount of food given. Love the color and the size.

Nice quality bowls, one of my cats licks his food off the plate, being a Maine Coon he needs a wide bowl to accommodate his whiskers. Although he still manages to spill food on the floor by licking it off this bowl it is much better that others i have tried.

These bowls offer great value; the cost is definitely reasonable for the high-quality of the bowls.
They are sturdy, durable, easy to clean, and have nice little grippy pads to stop them from sliding while your cat eats. The slide rise also makes it easier for or cats to lick the bowl clean without making a mess on the floor.
As for the product ‘claims’ regarding whisker stress, prior to purchasing these bowls, our cats wouldn’t finish the entirety of their serving of wet food, and we assumed they’d just become full, however, since switching to these bowls, they eat the entire serving each and every time.
We have since repurchased this product so that not only does each cat have their own bowl, but so that we also have a few spare bowls to rotate between if some are yet to be cleaned, etc. because we are simply so happy with this product that we don’t want our cats to eat off of anything else.
I highly recommend these bowls, and the little holders/tables that prior them up for a bit of height too, have also been a game changer for us with our cats’ eating habits.

I have gotten 3 sets of these now for my cat. No more bowls. This is more comfortable for him to eat from. These stack nicely when storing, they fit well in between the prongs in the dishwasher, and they clean fairly easily. These have a nice weight to the them so they aren’t going to be moved around by your cat when they are eating. I think these will be my forever go to for wet food at least.

Highly recommend. Great product, light and easy to clean, so happy it relieves whisker fatigue, would buy again for sure.

I don’t have any cons, just pros. Worked well for a disabled kitty.
We have a cat who had neurologic brain damage after surgery. He’s slowly improving and we still hope for full recovery, but one big problem was feeding him. Initially I had to feed him canned food with a syringe, then by hand using a spoon. He wasn’t eating independently from a bowl, or at least for only a few seconds. The bowls had non-skid bottoms, but were smooth inside and he didn’t have the coordination to eat food that moved around.
The design of the CaGuru bowls worked great. It concentrates the food in the bottom center. I suspect the Concentric rings also helped him visually and tactilely… he was initially blind but now has most of his vision back. The kibble was our first experiment. I didn’t expect much, so gave him a small amount. He gobbled it and wanted more, which of course we were delighted to provide. The canned food, surprisingly, took a bit more time. When the kitty gets tired, his brain and body don’t work very well. When he is rested, he eats the canned food quite nicely. One bowl is used for canned food, and one is for kibble.
The bowls are very easy to clean and have survived drops from a 4 ft high kitty litter tree (the kitty can once again climb to a nice box cave on it and likes eating there – see the image). I also like the small cut out on the bottom edge. It makes the bowl easy to pick up and move around. Great simple design which has helped our kitty’s recovery… he can eat independently with kibble available 24/7. Good nutrition, rest and time are helping him get better.

I decided to replace my cats’ food bowls that were made of melamine (a super-hard plastic composite). I had a cat in the past that suffered from horrible chin acne, and knowing now that it was likely due to contact with his plastic bowls, I didn’t want to take any chances. I also wanted wider, shallow bowls – that wouldn’t bother their whiskers – and bowls that sat higher, to hopefully help curb vomiting after meals and that wouldn’t make my cats stretch their necks downward to eat.
Enter CatGuru. This company offers anti- whisker fatigue bowls in both stainless steel and ceramic options (and many colors of melamine) featuring gentle ridges, and optional elevated stands (in melamine) that their bowls fit into securely.
I chose the stainless steel – it can’t be broken, and there is no outer glaze to crack or chip over time. I also bought the elevated stands. My cats took to them immediately. They are 12 & 13 pounds, and are comfortable eating from the setup while either standing or sitting.
I only found 2 negatives which are outweighed by all the positives. The metal is not fully smoothed at the edges, so it feels a bit pokey on my skin (not actually sharp), and the rounded cut-out on the side allowing for easier pick is too short. I am using the bowls in conjunction with the elevated stands (which have a raised lip to keep the bowls secure), and find it slightly difficult to lift them up and out to wash each morning (I have small hands). If you’re not using the stands, it won’t be an issue. The shallowness of the bowl is not a negative for me as I only feed my cats a 1/4 – 1/2 cup of dry food at a time, but I have read other reviews complaining that food gets pushed over the side. Keep in mind that these bowls are too shallow to hold water. Since CatGuru only sells melamine water bowls, I offer my cats water in a combination of stainless steel dog bowls and the PetSafe Stainless 360 Pet Fountain (which I recommend).
