    My cat took to this fountain very quickly. He says it’s a purrriffic gift for a cat. It’s very easy to use. Just fill it up to the minium line and place the top on. Plug it in and the water starts coming out immediately. It’s extremely quiet and I can’t hear it running. I like that it is stainless steel to keep it easy to clean. It’s a nice size so I only need to fill it every other day and I give it a rinse out. The tap design is nice to give it that appearance like a sink tap that my cat oh so LOVES to drink from! But, lucky for Mr. PICKLES he now has his own running tap 24/7! It’s a very nice product and I look forward to watching my cat enjoy it for years to come.

   There are two models: The goose neck design is the very best out there on the larger model. I bought two of the larger models, but the second spout’s water flow is off center & the first spout pours water right smack in the center. I got this smaller model because the price was momentarily reduced & my filters for other fountains fit this model, too. It’s round & smaller which means kitty can easily approach the fountain at any angle. My kitty prefers the smaller model over the larger one–when put side by side.
   I discovered this yesterday evening as soon as I put up the new fountain. This one has a simple spout & the larger one has a more curved one which seems to be at least plated in brass not copper. If it would be copper, the manufacturer would be bragging about it in writing. The components are simple, stainless steel & I am already familiar with the simple filters & tray. I have filters that fit, I like the small & less plastic holding tray. I don’t care for the fountain to be so large–larger model–but I do like & prefer the round design which allows the kitty to have all inviting angles & my kitty seems to be fascinated with the different water fountains I am buying for her. I have no complaints except it didn’t come with a brush designed to clean out the neck which I will have to purchase on my own. Quite perfect–especially the fancier goose neck design which is better designed than anything out there–it is very inviting to the kitties at a subconscious level. I guess I can leave it do its thing for even a little bit more than one week without worry about the water getting low. I think I like you! Strange annoying imperfection on all models: I notice all the models have a minor indentation alongside where the cut out is for the water spout. All of them have this minor defect & it must come from the manufacturing. It is mostly not noticeable unless you check carefully & are a perfectionist. I noticed.

   I do love this fountain and I think it’s a wonderful price point!

   Would I buy again yes if : 1. was in a hurry and didn’t want to research fountains again. 2. Price point was an issue.

   It is very quiet, filters are super easy to replace, the filter housing actually keeps loose bits of carbon from falling into the actual bowl, assembly is easy, pump looks and feels better than what I was using. The sponge around the filter cleans easy, the steel look fits with any deco, and replacement items are easily found on Amazon.

   Now what would make me order a different more expensive one?
   If you clean clean, Like hospital clean this fountain will take some time. I’ll explain. I would have opted for surgical stainless steel rather than 304. 304 is consumption safe, but surgical has less corrosion for the way I clean. I have a cat that needs extreme cleaning so I pretty much autoclave things/steam clean everything. The plastic while durable will not stand up to this type of heat so I must hand clean them. No big deal just time consuming. The design of this fountain leaves a lot of “nooks” for biofilms to start. I’ve included pics of these little nooks. So you have to take every little part off to steam clean. Not a big deal like I said just time consuming cause there are a ton of spaces to clean.
   Buy yourself a nice flexible set of brushes to clean this with! The one provided is useless. It will not get into the bend of the fountain water hook.
   Last, next time I will look for a fountain with less plastic parts and more stainless steel. While more expensive it’s just easier to clean with high heat. While ss pumps are hard to find it’s not impossible, but for under 100$ I knew what I was getting.

   So yes this fountain is worth the purchase, but if you have a special needs kitty or like super clean, this fountain will take some time to clean.

   At one time, finding a quality (noise-free) pet water fountain, required that you pay upwards of $79.95 and more. And even then, the motors used, and the materials used (mostly plastic), meant that you heard a constant hum from the pumps. So I’ve long held off even looking for pet water fountains – that is until recently.

   Over the past year or so, I’ve come to discover that any reservations I had, went away with my first purchase of one of these water fountains. Right now I have 3 of these (different designs and shapes of course), but I made sure to get the ones that use the same water pumps, filters and black charcoal bands. This is important because these Chinese-made water fountains are often made by the same company, yet marketed under different brand names. Many of these may look different, but many of the pumps used, the filters, and more are all the same internally. Now to clarify, there are different styles available that use different types of filters also. So keep this in mind as you look for some. This also saves you the hassle of having to purchase a variety of different filter shapes if you are using more than one water fountain.

   This Tomxcute water fountain is totally silent, holds a good amount of water (I check on it weekly), and once filled, you can just forget about it – I’d say for up to a week. It’s always good to check water levels and wipe down the interior as the metal coverings can get a bit slimy after a period of 10 days to 2 weeks. The filters do a good job of keeping the water clean, catching animal fur and other debris, and your cats/dogs can become quite used to using these types of fountains in no time at all. In my opinion, it’s always better to get the stainless steel versions, rather than paying for a plastic fountain (where you can hear the pump noise much more clearly plastic tends to rattle more).

   As an aside, I also have 2 other water fountains, shaped differently, but the pumps and the filters are the same, so it worked out superbly (I have 4 cats).

   The bottom line is that these types of water fountains are inexpensive, are built quite well, are easy to maintain and clean, and the cats take to them quickly.

   I give this one 5 stars (along with the other 2 that I own).

   If you have a cat you have to get a fountain. They will thank you for it.

   Only issue is making sure to plug in a power bank when I lose power. (Cat sits staring at it not knowing what to)
